We spent the whole day on base watching the airshow. The kids had a ton of fun, and got to run, run, and run some more! They got to go in all the planes, helicopters, trucks, and tanks. They loved the planes that did all the tricks the best. They didn't like the jets as much, they were to loud. But we had a blast!
Haili loved to talk to one of the girl pilots of the Blue Angels!
Cody loved to play with all the guns they had!
They both got their faces done in camo, but the guy painting cody's couldn't stop laughing. Cody didn't want a stranger touching his face, so he pouted the whole time.
We got to see the Blue angels and the Candadian Snow birds.

Hello From Alaska
Birthdays come and go so fast and I can't believe how grown up my children are. Cody loves riding his bike these days, he will get off at random times kick the tires check the chain then get back on and start riding again. He is such a man. His favorite things right now is anything to do with toy story and tools. He turned 4 this year, and we had a small party with grandma and grandpa rowe. He loved it. Haili has turned 6 going onto 21.. she is so excited that she will be in the first grade. She had a fun party out in the rain. She got her ears pierced and she got her favorite dress up shoes. They are both at the age where they love to fight with each other but they can't stand to play alone. They can't waite until our new arrival comes(Which by the way we are having a GIRL!). Every day Haili is excited to watch my stomach grow and asks is the baby comming yet. They drive me crazy sometimes but they make me laugh more than ever. We have had a beautiful start to our summer, it rains every other day but it is still very pretty and the kids have enjoyed it here. We are even thinking about staying here permanently. Well that is our update so far Hope everyone is enjoying the summer!

Welcome 2010
This christmas was pretty good! The kids had a lot of fun, hanging out with friends, eating lots of cookies, and most important playing with all their new toys! It has been getting pretty cold around here lately. I went home and the radio said it was negative 32 degrees outside with the windchill. That can hit ya a little hard, but Haili is not affected by the cold at all. Every day at school they play outside after lunch, the only time they can't go outside is if the temperatures drop below 0. Even during christmas break Haili would bundle up and go outside and play with her snow sled and make pathways in the snow. Cody on the other hand is a lot like me! The second he feels cold he comes inside and is done for the day. We love to sit by the window and watch the snow fall and wait for the sun to come up, whitch is around 10:30 am about now. We do love it here, it seems to have a lot of potential for our family. Trevor is doing well at PenAir. He is enjoying being out in the bush and he seems to meet a lot of interesting people. We are hoping soon he will be working out of Anchorage, which we would all see him a lot more than we do now. This past year has seemed a little tuff on our family but we think this new year will turn out pretty good. I can't believe how time fly's so fast! Cody has started in Sunbeams, and Haili will be turning 6 this year! She has turned out to be such a lovely little girl. Both my children have been very helpfull while Trevor is away.

School Pictures

Haili is the cutest little girl I have ever seen!!! I love her pictures, she looks so sweet and innocent. This last week at school her teacher put her on the bus because she goes to an after school program. so anyways they had substitute bus drivers that day and they parked in different spots this time. Well Haili was convinced her teacher put her on the wrong bus. So she decided to get off the bus after her teacher left and got on the other bus. Well when the bus was done with all his stops he still had one more child left... Haili. So she told him to drop her off at her house. Which the bus driver took her all the way to our house. The bus driver thank goodness did not leave her beacuse no one was home and I don't get off work for 3 more hours. They finally figured out where she was supposed to go. I am just glad it turned out well. It's just one of the many moments on how stubborn she can be. I think she gets that from her father :)
Other than that we are really enjoying Alaska. Right now we are having a beautiful fall, which they never get. But I am enjoying everyday of it. We are getting ready for Halloween, Haili is going to be a Vampire and Cody is going to be a Fighter Pilot.
Last Week Haili and Cody and I flew to Medford, Oregon. It wasn't bad, we got bumped off at least 6 flights trying to get out of anchorage. Haili and Cody are the best little travelers. They even spent the entire day at the Portland airport tyring to get home. We had fun visiting the family. Haili and Cody got to ride a horse, eat fruit off the fruit trees and play in their garden. We even went to Sarah and Jacobs dance lessons. We were only there for the weekend, we wish we could have stayed a bit longer but the kids had fun.

Hello to Everyone
Summer is over! and it is now Winter. Yes it is September and snowing here in the great state (yes it is a state) of Alaska. We are loving it here. Our schedules and lives have never before been this crazy but we are holding on and having fun. The kids are loving it here. They have seen more animals in there back yard then in a zoo! I am just hoping not to see the Bears just yet. Here if you go camping you have to carry a weapon. Bears kill more people then anything else here in Alaska.
So some updates. Haili has started Kindergarten and has decieded to make up any kind of illness possible to get out of school. But she really loves school. She makes friends by what shoes they are wearing. I think it will get difficult for her when the only thing she will wear is her snow boots. :) Cody is loving his babysitter. We found a very nice family in our ward that we have become good friends with. They have 3 girls. Cody loves every minute with them. And the big boy as he would say. (which is Derek their dad) Trevor is still flying in King Salmon and loving it. He is also loosing weight which is great but now I seem to gain weight :) It is all the fish he eats. I am trying to stay away from sugar. No more chocolate, candy, BROWNIES, cakes, cookies and all the fun stuff. I am trying to manage my health. Great timming now that Halloween is comming. But I believe I can do it. I am learning to say no. I have also switched my schedule at work. I am no longer working at the checkpoints. I will be working in the basement going through everyones checked baggage. I am really excited, I am a little tired of dealing with the public and getting yelled at because someone is mad they have to throw away their toothpaste. We are getting ready for the winter here and are very excited. I don't know if I can cut out the Hot chocolate, that might be a keeper. We definetly miss everyone. It feels like we are in a different country out here.
Love you all...The Roweklan

Hello to everyone
So I haven't posted in awhile, I can't believe how busy we have been this year. Sorry no pics yet. We have deciede to get rid of everything that is not important, so we can get all our bills paid off. So that means no internet, T.V, or cell phones. Yes I said it, cell phones. It has been a least 10 years since I have gone without one and I don't know what to do. I am still digging in my purse for it, or sometimes I can still feel it vibrate in my pocket at work. Life has been interesting but still busy. The kids have loved playing at all the lakes out here. We see moose everyday, And we have so much fish!!
Haili had a good 5 year birthday in June and is so excited about starting school soon. Yesturday she went into the hospital and had her tonsils removed. So she is sitting on our couch right now in and out of consiousness eating her popsicles. Her voice has changed a bit, which is funny to me. She is a little bossy right now. She orders me and cody around to get her favorite things. I don't mind but I don't know how long cody will put up with that:) Trevor leaves today for two weeks and fly's to King Salmon where he works. Alaska is an amazing place and I don't think we will ever get to explore all of it.
All is well out here we miss all of you!!

Happy Birthday Cody
My big boy turned 3 this Sunday, which we found out is also Kelly Clarksons birthday too. Anywho, We mostly stayed at home since Haili had ear infections and the rest of us had pretty bad colds. But we had tons of candy M&M's our most favorite candy and Cody played with all his new toys which mostly consisted of Batman. And we played some games..Hulk operation :) They mostly loved playing with all the balloons we decorated the house with. Cody didn't sleep at all that night. He put all his toys in his bed and talked all night. I think because of the sugar high. He really did love it! sorry no pics... some day we will invest in the internet so for right now I am using the Library. But we are still alive and really loving Alaska. We can't waite to do some exploring. It's still cold here, about 40. But they said it might get up into the 50's by this weekend :) Well we are adapting, we all fight for the little heater, usually the dog wins.
