Cowgirls and Indians

This week I picked up Haili from preschool like every normal day. I noticed all the kids were dressed up like Indians. They were learning about Thanksgiving. Well out comes my daughter in her pink dress and her cowboy boots. She didn't want to wear the indian outfit because she told her teacher she was a cowgirl. :) She had found Trevors old boots that he wore when he was Haili's age. She only takes them off when she goes to bed at night. They are pretty beat up, but they are adorable. I did get her to try on her indian outfit for me later that day, just long enough for me to take a picture. Then it came off and the boots came back on. pic coming soon.

Good Guys Car Show

We had fun at the Good Guys Car show this weekend. Haili wanted to look inside almost every car! She will definitely be daddy's car buddy. Her favorite was a small roadster no bigger then she was, plus she saw the 10 year old boy driving away in it. They had a lot of gorgeous cars, and some were for sale.
... and a weather update for phoenix, yes it is still 85 degrees this weekend. I am loving it!

NASCAR 08' PIR

A true nascar fan
Final turn Jimmy Johnson wins the race!

#88 Earnhart Jr :)

NASCAR was so much fun! We saw some pretty interesting people, the whole place was packed. We sat on turn four in the middle. No one sat in front or on the sides of us so we had lots of room to lounge for 5 hours. We got there around 10 am and left around 7 pm. They had all kinds of games and vendors outside. When we left there was no more merchandise left, they sold
out of everything! The weather was crazy, we get there and it was hot. Then they delayed the race for about 30 min because of rain. The sun came out again but the wind picked up and blew debris all over the track. There were some great wrecks, and some good racing. Jimmy Johnson won the race, I knew he would from the beginning, but I was wanting Earnhardt Jr. to at least
place in the top 5. He placed 6th. Lame. But we had a ton of fun!!

Arizona State Fair

This year we went to the fair. I didn't realize but the fair is so expensive! luckily we went on a day they had free parking, and free admission. Plus we packed our own lunches, so we spent about 40.00 and we only did two rides. oh and we got snow cones, they were buy one get one free. The kids had a lot of fun! They were a little to small to go on most rides anyways, so maybe next year they will be able to do more.

Oh, and just a weather update for this wonderful state. I had to put on a sweater for the first time!! Yea, it was 75 degrees out today. Hahahaha. But don't worry it will be up to 80 this weekend :)

Happy Halloween!!

We had so much fun this Halloween! It was a warm 94 degrees here in Phoenix Arizona. Trevor and I are running around in shorts and t-shirts and I am LOVING the weather. I am definitely a desert rat!
Haili loved all the candy and being a princess, well she couldn't decide on a witch or princess so we combined the two. So she became a Halloween Princess. Cody didn't really care much what he wore but he seemed to like his Race Car outfit and as long as he got candy he would wear anything. Haili had a halloween party at her preschool and then we went to walgreens where we got their pictures taken. Cody just woke up from his nap that is why he is not smiling in this picture, but every picture I took he would have the biggest grin! Then we all went out to dinner and of course the best thing to eat around here is mexican so we filled up on quesadillas, tamales, and chips and salsa. Then we were off to the mall. We did a little shopping while we were there, but the kids loved going from store to store and we got to the mall pretty early so they were giving handfuls of candy at a time. After an hour of that we then went to our ward chili party and ate some chili and corn bread. By the time we got home I didn't think we would have any trick or treaters but luckily I was prepared and bought a couple of bags. Haili had fun answering the door and giving out candy the rest of the night.

We also carved our pumpkins that week. Cody would not go anywhere near the guts but Haili didn't mind at all, she did pretty good with her pumpkin.

and we had some fun making Halloween cookies, but I think they ate more frosting then cookie.
