Another Change in Life

So, now we are moving to Miami Florida. Trevor has a job with American Eagle (not the clothing store) the airline. I can't waite to get on the beach and feel the sand in my toes. We are such a water family I know we are going to LOVE our new adventure. Alaska was a beautiful place and if you friended me on facebook you would have seen all are Alaska pictures and adventures. There was just to many to post though. The termination dust is already on the mountains here and it's about in the 40's I would say. Where as right now Miami is in the 80's. I am so excited for our new adventure, it is always stressfull to move. So many little things that have to be done and the cost in your budget is not very fun. The kids will have changed school's three times this year. We moved out of our apartment and Trevor's parents have graciously let us bombard their once quiet home. I haven't posted on here much, but I guess I have been sucked into the facebook scene. I am going to try and come back to my blog because I enjoy the writing. And remembering what our family has said and done without all the advertising :) Will I miss Alaska... I don't think so, I am ready to move on. I am not a winter bunny. I would say I am more of a desert rat. So what will the beach bring, hopefully many days of SUN and Laughter. I can't wait to drive down the keys and hopefully Trevor and I will get in some scuba diving. We will spend Halloween up here and Ellie will have her first birthday in the state she was born in. After that on the 7th of November we hop on a flight to embark on a new chapter in life. I know pics will be posted so come back and check us out.

Easter

We are still hanging out here in Anchorage, but we are moving to a bigger place this week. Along with Easter Egg Hunting, Cody's Birthday will be this Tuesday. I can't believe how big our kids have gotten. Ellie is growing so fast. She loves to chew on her toes, she LOVES her dad, and she just got two bottom teeth this week. We hope everyone has a fun and Happy Easter.

Christmas Season 2010

We have had so much fun this holiday season! It is a wonderful negative 10 degrees outside in the anchorage area which is much warmer then the rest of the state :) We have been going to christmas parties and craft fairs. We have seen Nativity Scenes all over the world, snow sculptures, reindeer, and sooo much hot chocolate! Haili and Cody went ice skating for the first time and loved it! The kids have been sledding just about every other day now. We have made all our ornaments for the tree, and christmas cookies galore. Ellie also had her baby blessing this month as well. We hope everyone has a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Baby Ellie

Baby Ellie Rowe was born 6:15 pm on November 01,2010. She weighed "we think" 7lbs 4oz and was 20 in long.I say we think because she was weighed twice at the hospital. The first time they said she was 7lb 4 oz and then they weighed her again and said she was 8lbs 4 oz. They went with the second weight. We went for a dr. check up 3 days later and she only weighed 6 lbs 11 oz. So she would either be really sick or the weight was wrong in the first place to lose that much weight at once. And she is eating very well, and does not look sick at all. So we are going with the first weight. Everything is going well here in Alaska. It dumped a ton of snow the day Ellie was born and it hasn't stoped. Cody made a snowman in grandmas and grandpas drive way. And they spent the whole weekend dragging each other up the drive and sledding down.

Baby Shower

One of my friends at work put on a baby shower for me. We had a great time, and lot's of good food. A few people from work and church came and hung out. Now I just have to waite one more week and we should have a new baby girl. Her name will be Ellie Rowe.
Here is a good receipe for an Egg's Benedict that becky made for the baby shower. It was very tasty so you will have to try it.

Eggs Benedict:

3/4 cup butter
3/4 cup flour
4 cups milk
1 141/2 oz can chicken broth
1 pound fully cooked ham cubed
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
8 hard cooked eggs, quartered
1/2 teaspoon of salt
1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper
10 to 12 biscuits, warmed

Melt butter in saucepan; stir in flour until smooth. Add milk and broth; bring to a boil. Cook and stir for two minutes. Add ham and cheese; stir until the cheese melts. Add eggs, salt and cayenne; heat through. Serve over biscuits.
